The lecture, invitied by the conference organizer, was focused on the Veliki vrh rockfall in Košuta Mountain (Slovenia) as one of the largest mass movements events in Slovenia. Situated on the southern slopes of the mountain the impressive remnants of the event are evident in the mountain face as well as in the valley Pod Košuto. The rockfall is associated with the earthquake which happened on the 25th of January 1348 but there are no reliable written records therefore a research has been done focusing not only on the cosmogenic dating of the event but also linking the regional tectonic structures to it.

COBISS.SI-ID: 51439202In the study area at the confluence of Iška and Ljubljanica rivers we interpret the Lidar data and discovered the evidences of the longterm dynamics of the flow of Ljubljanica. The recent Ljubljanica river bed crosses the banks of the flow from the northern part of Barje which suggests that Ljubljanica river used to flow at least 500 m more to the south, comoared to the recent situation.
