In the talk the measurements of the material parameters of liquid crystal elastomers (LCE) by dynamic light scattering were presented. In light sensitive LCE the properties were obtained by measurements of the diffraction efficiency of holographically recorded periodic modulation of the refractive index by UV light.

COBISS.SI-ID: 25336103In a regular seminar of Applied physics school I presented a review of our research results in the field of optical micostructuring of light-sensitive liquid crystal elastomers. The emphasis was on some special phenomena appearing in the temperature region of the nematic-paranematic phase transition, such as dark hologram enhancement effect and recording of hidden holograms.
