This project group was the main organizer of the international conference BLED'11 which was held at the end of June 2011. World class researchers in the area participated in this very successful event. There were 280 participants from 42 different countries. This is the biggest and one of the most famous conferences in graph theory worldwide. It is organized once in every four years. Four members of this research program collaborated, one as the chair of the sicentific committee, two as organizing committee members and one was in advisory board of the conference.

Dragan Marušič is one of the two Founding Editors and Editors-in-Chief of the International mathematical journal ‘Ars Mathematica Contemporanea’ covered by Math. Reviews (indexed cover-to-cover), Zentralblatt MATH, COBISS, SCOPUS, Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE), Web of Science, ISI Alerting Service, and Current Contents/Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences (CC/PC & ES). Three other project members are members of the editorial board of this journal. With this journal Slovenian mathematics has opened a new chapter in its development and has definitely put itself on the world map.

In spring 2012 the research group organized the Semester of Graph Theory for PhD and postdoc students. The Semester consisted of four minicourses (of 20 hours each). Lecturers: Wilfried Imrich (University of Leoben), Elena Valentinova Konstantinova (Sobolev Institute of Mathematics), Adam Paweł Wojda (AGH University of Science and Techology) in Roman Nedela (Matej Bel University).

Members of the project are active in sharing knowledge with the next generation. In the period 2011-2014 seven PhD students (A. Vasilyev, S. Bajrić, B. Frelih, A. Hujdurović, C. Zhang, G. Verret, R. Požar - six of them with young researcher status) successfully finished their PhD study under the supervision of the members of this project. At the moment members of this project are supervising 9 PhD students holding the young researcher position. Six of the students come from abroad (Bosnia (2x), Argentina, Poland, Mexico (2x)) which shows international recognition of the researchers included into the project. Besides regular curriculum of PhD study the research group yearly offers PhD Summer School in Discrete Mathematics (Rogla 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). World class researchers in the area as well as about 30-40 students from all over the world participate at the school each year.
