This paper presents an overview of preparing vulnerability assessment due to climate change on the selected model area. Vulnerability Assessment is one of the key outcomes of the project CLISP – Climate Change, Adaptation by Spatial Planning in the Alpine Space (Transnational Cooperation Alpine Space) which aims to contribute to mitigating spatial conflicts related to climate change, to reduce vulnerability of various activities and spatial structures to the adverse effects of climate change and related damages and costs. It briefly describes a method for the preparation of vulnerability assessment and provides key results. Vulnerability Assessment is prepared for the Gorenjska Region, which was chosen as the model region. Vulnerability Assessment is presented for all those spatial systems or sectors that have been deemed important for the development of the region, these are the spatial development, settlements and infrastructure, tourism, energy, agriculture and forestry. At the end, vulnerability assessment of the whole region is also presented

COBISS.SI-ID: 6668409In the report, the proceeding and results of work in the Gorenjska model region are presented, which were achieved within the project CLISP – Climate Change Adaptation by Spatial Planning in the Alpine Space. The project as well as objectives and scope of model region activities are depicted in the introduction, then follows an in-depth description of the model region. In the next chapters, the working processes and results in the fields of vulnerability assessment, climate change fitness of spatial planning, risk governance and risk communication, as well as climate proof spatial planning are explained. The concluding chapter contains key findings of the study, serving as potential starting points for further work in the field of climate change adaptation and spatial planning
F.24 Improvements to existing system-wide, normative and programme solutions, and methods
COBISS.SI-ID: 2442179The results of WP 6 of the CLISP – Climate Change Adaptation by Spatial Planning in the Alpine Space project are subject of the report. Two large topics are covered: climate change governance and spatial planning, and risk communication activities in CLISP model regions. Scope, goals and methods as well as results of the survey on climate change governance in spatial planning in the model regions, together with a transnational synthesis of results, are described for the former. In the part of the report dealing with risk communication activities, description of scope, goals and methods, and of the concept for stakeholder processes in the model regions is followed by an account of risk communication activities performed in model regions. A communication and decision support tool is presented in the following, then the results of a transnational synthesis of risk communication activities in CLISP, as well as lessons learnt from stakeholder interactions. The final chapter summarizes the key findings and provides guidance for further activities
