Program XLS2PHRQ© generates an input file for program PHREEQC© from a selected geochemical analysis data in MS Excel© (*.xlsx). An example of XLSX file is included in the ZIP file. The worksheet name should be "analize", decimal points should be used instead of commas. Values below the detection limit ((LOD) are treated as text and must be corrected in PHREEQC. Source code available by request. Work was supported by Slovenian Research Agency, number of research project Z1-3670.

COBISS.SI-ID: 956766Lecture at Pedagogical University in Krakow, Poland, was intented to present the Slovenian Karst to foreign geography and other students. Lecture comprised the hidtorical presentation of Slovenian karst, types of karst in world and in Slovenia, and most importantly, the various carbonate rocks of Slovenia, which were analyzed in the postdoc project. Attendance was very good, as from the report, 102 students (60 at bachelor level and 42 at Master level) were present at the lecture. At the same time, a international cooperation was established for future scientific research.

COBISS.SI-ID: 1001822The study material is intended for the exercises with programs PHREEQC for Windows and Aquachem for modeling of geochemical processes at the subject Geochemistry, in the Bachelor degree study program of Geology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering at University of Ljubljana. The computer exercises comprise from 2010 on selected examples of data from the project and are complementary to the lectures of Geochemistry, where the results of geochemical analyses and their interpretations are also mentioned. The project is therefore integrated into the pedagogic work. In 2012, the study material has been updated. In 2013, the material is in the process of being published as an university lecture material for the course Hydrogeochemistry for Master level of geology study. Material has been in this stage published as study material - Verbovšek, Timotej. Selected chapters from Hydrogeocemistry :study material for subject Hydrogeochemistry. Ljubljana: Naravoslovnotehniška fakulteta, 2013. [COBISS.SI-ID 1035614], and comprises data and geochemical maps from the postdoc project for both the lectures and exercises.

COBISS.SI-ID: 954718Bachelor of geology Natalija Mernik has produced under my mentorship a diploma based on geochemical composition of groundwaters in carbonate rocks in Southern and Central Slovenia. Waters have been sampled in the spring of 2012 from the wells in karstic and fractured aquifers, during the postdoc project. She took the samples from 35 selected boreholes and wells and took the samples for the analysis of cations, anions and alkalinity. She has performed field measurements for physico-chemical analysis (pH, water temperature, specific electroconductivity, oxygen content, ORP and TDS in the waters). Data have been stored and analyzed in geochemical programs AquaChem, PHREEQC for Windows and Statistica. Data from the postdoc project have been therefore used directly in the pedagogical work, as students have been included in the project, with the results visible in diploma.

COBISS.SI-ID: 998238Report comprises an analysis of influence of potential heating pump system for groundwater extraction from carbonate gravel aquifer for heating the residential object. Report represents the first stage in a series of reports, which require the analysis of existing geological and hydrogeological status of groundwater before the intervention, and later also the potential influences of pumping on the groundwater status (which comprise the geochemical water analyses and modeling). Report is therefore an example of transfer of know-how methods into practice for socio-economic field for individual users.
