The team of Pipistrel company won the NASA Green Flight Challenge sponsored by Google 2011 competition. It won by creating the world's first four seater electric aircraft that was both the fastest as well as the energetically most efficient in the competition. Gregor Veble developed the aerodynamics of the aircraft, Vid Plevnik developed the structural concept of the aircraft.
E.02 International awards
Gregor Veble was a keynote speaker at the design workshop Creactivity organized by ISIA Firenze. The lecture was about the interconnection between form, aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency.
B.04 Guest lecture
The open source software package PolyVort solves the flow of an ideal fluid around lifting bodies of arbitrary shape. It utilizes the vortex lattice method with free vortex elements.
F.06 Development of a new product
Panthera is a high efficiency and high performance four seat electric aeroplane, built to EASA CS-23 standards. It is available with an internal combustion, electric or hybrid propulsion. Gregor Veble lead the design team and aerodynamic design, Vid Plevnik was responsible for the structural concept of the aircraft, David Eržen designed the aircraft control system.
F.06 Development of a new product
Gregor Veble held an invited lecture at Forum Munich Aerospace, where he presented the design and performance of the winning Taurus G4 aircraft.
