Throughout the existence of the Yugoslav state the Yugoslav – Albanian relations represented an important aspect of the Yugoslav foreign policy, which however mainly expressed itself in the critical moments of the relations between the two states and during the periods of crtitical tensions within Yugoslavia. The author deals with Yugoslav-Albanian relations in the long period from 1945 until the 1970s and pays a particular attention also to the Albanians in Yugoslavia and the situation in Kosovo in 1960s and 1970s of the past century.

In the period of the second Yugoslav state the possibilities ot the realisation of Slovene economic interests were still rather limited, but Slovenia until the end of 1980s succesfully fullfilled an important part of conditions for the transformation of the regional economy into the national economy. The proces of attainement of Slovene economic independence began in a full extent in the spring of 1990, after the political changes and after the Demos coalition was formed, and continued up to the end of the year 1991.
