Author the report in Kalisz (Poland) in september 2010 (organized by Masaryk niversitiy Brno, Charles University Prague, University in Ljubljana) in which focus question was how did the people comprehend their own position, the position of the state and the state itself. The answer to this is provided by extensive research, carried out since 1968 in the context of the Slovenian Public Opinion Surveys at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana.

Filip Čuček described the Slovenian national development (from the beginnings of the modern Slovenian nationalism in the second half of the 19. century through the Slovenian “experience” in the first and second Yugoslavia to the Slovenian independence in 1991) and tried to brighten the Slovenian situation in three different socio-political systems.

In te papers they show divergence of Yugoslavia in the wider European context, how is undergoing a process of democratization in Slovenia, how looked Slovenia because of it in other parts of Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo) and how to watch the nearby Slovenian neighborhood (Austria, Italy) . Big break for the small nations is not happening frequently, it always attracts attention as historiography. The present work is a piece in the mosaic of history lessons about the time the recent past.

COBISS.SI-ID: 263604480The paper outlines the first steps critical survey of economic development in Slovenia after 1945, until the end of the eighties. The second part analyzes the efforts and achievements of individuals and institutions in the two decades after independence. In the third part, the problems and barriers in research, in the fourth chapter, the author presented his vision of economic development perspectives of history in the years 1945-1991. At the end he added the bibliography of major works from economic history of period 1945-1991.

The journal publishes scientific articles that are thematically linked to time 19 and 20./21. Century. In addition to the publication of scientific papers (original, transparent), the magazine has settled sections: reviews and report, in which experts in individual fields of history and time frames to report and evaluate books from the topic of recent history, historical documentation, which are published short historical sources (with scientific notes), anniversaries, discussion. The magazine regularly published contributions of authors from abroad. Their contributions have been published in the Slovenian language, so that they can be much wider audience. The magazine also strengthens the Slovenian historiographic terminology and concerns for the use of the Slovenian language. Čepič Zdenko is the responsible editor of the journal since 1991.
