The book provides a comprehensive analysis of both movable and immovable heritage of the former salt pans, located in the periphery of Koper. Material culture analysed in the book is based on archaeological research and reflects life, and allows the reconstruction of salt-pan communities on the outskirts of the coastal city, whose economy and economic growth were to the great extent leaning on the production and trade of salt.
