Papers, selected and edited by guest editor Tomaž Grušovnik, co-organizer of the scientific meeting and one of the leading Slovenian environmental philosophers, cover broad spectrum of problems, connected with humanistic reflection of environmental challenges. The authors deal with reflections on basic ethical suppositions of society, connected with the environment (Diaconu, Haught), as well as concrete socio-natural analysis of environmental disasters (Schulz). In addition, they cover topics related to animal torture (Strahovnik, Mlinar) and issues, related to general societal inequality (for instance gender inequality), reflected in our attitude towards the environment and its understanding (Furlan Štante, Holmes).
