The chapter represents first attempt of examining environmental ethics in intercultural perspectivewithin Slovenian scientific research an presents a series of important findings, relevant in understanding environmental problematics in the sense of framing viable global framework for environmental sensibility and, as a consequence, appropriate way of addressing environmental issues. These include uncovering focus of possible synthesis of traditional ethical beliefs (Asia, Europe, Islam), as well as examining contemporary enviornmental ethical problematics.

The paper examines the perception of nature and of man-nature relationship which is deeply marked by the collective memory of man’s domination over nature. In this segment positive contribution of Christian theological eco-feminism is of utmost importance, as it discloses and breaks down the prejudice of the model of human superiority over nature by means of a critical historical overview of individual religious traditions. The paper focuses on the question of ecological interdependence and women’s identity, gender hierarchy and human-nature relationship within Christian religious sphere.
