The award for scientific excellence will enable a comprehensive and contextual research of the structural and functional changes in aesthetics, culture and art that took place with the postmodern turn (in the USA, Europe and globally) and that determine contemporary conditions. The lectures base upon the research done by the scholar so far, especially upon her theory of transart, which is arising along and after the transition from modernity to postmodernity, is exceeding the modern canons, forms and the separation of disciplines and fields, and stimulating critical reflection and resistance.
E.02 International awards
COBISS.SI-ID: 251594496In the last two decades a new paradigm has been introduced into science and art, which stimulates transdisciplinarity. Transart projects that ground in the intersection of art and biotechnology with a purpose to stimulate critical consciousness and to communicate the biotechnological potentials with a wider public have become compositions that are not hierarchically organized – biotechnological, artistic or philosophical colonies intertwine and function on the basis of constant mutual reconciliation.

C.01 Editorial board of a foreign/international collection of papers/book
COBISS.SI-ID: 245065472The author was invited to give a lecture at SEAFair 2010: 4-20 October, 2010, Skopje, and then to publish a paper in a book. The contribution is about the introduction of a new paradigm in science and art, which demonstrates that the social fields have lost their authonomy, become “internally” heterogeneous and “externally” mutually dependent, even transgressive, thus it has become impossible to distinguish and separate them. The new mode supports reflexivity and transdisciplinarity.
