Article addresses socialist identity politics which influenced changes in the representative discourse of gender and introduced new image of female subjectivity. Representation of 'new femininity' on stage introduced new elements in the existent patterns of social behavior, reproducing new gender relations and enabling new strategies for political negotiation of position of new generation of women in rural environments.
