Several documents at the international and national levels urgently demand the elimination of various obstacles and limitations in the environment and essential support to ensure an independent life for the functionally impaired and equal inclusion in society. This paper presents proposed measures for more effectively providing an unhindered right to access in Slovenia. Some EU countries are very successful in providing an unhindered right to access in certain areas and the proposals have therefore also been designed based on an overview and analysis of these types of good-practice examples.
