The main theme of the course are the representation of positive and negative psychological effects and consequences of children's participation in sports activities and transition to a competitive sport in school life.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3797425There are three major psychological phenomena related to precompetitive states, i.e. anxiety, concentration and self-confidence. Different forms of mental training and various psychological techniques can be used to develop and strengthen positive precompetitive states. Our study was conducted basketball players, who participated in our mental preparation programme with the aim of achieving more positive precompetitive states. In general, the mental preparation programme using various psychological techniques proved to be efficient.
