In this paper, we investigate the advantages and feasibility of motor control using very fast (in megahertz) switching in place of traditional amplifiers. When compared to second-order controllers implemented with traditional amplifiers, the proposed design promises increased performance, better efficiency, and improved load estimation. Such implementation makes concepts of switching control very attractive for control systems like control of dc or ac servomotors. The control algorithm designed by the proposed approach can be easily implemented on FPGA platforms.

The scientific article is presented on the renowned Slovenian conference with high application value. The paper presents the exploitation of the PEMFC and DC-DC converters. The DC-DC power converter system consists of two DC-DC basic converters. The PEMFC dynamic is relatively low compared with load dynamics and due to this the additional DC-DC bi-directional converter is needed. This converter is capable to protect the fuel cell (dPcell/dt limitation) and on the other hand provide the required energy to the load when fuel cell changes the operating points.
