The nanocoatings preparation procedure on regenerated cellulose fibres is presented. Viscose fibres, were, prior to any application of particles, pre-treated. Two types of inorganic particles were grown on cellulose surfaces. Structure of modified fibres was thoroughly investigated in order to determine its effect on subsequent growth of particles. Results have shown that the structure of the cellulose materials influences morphology of formed particles’ layers and, consequently, their functionality.
