This paper published in a top journal covering the field of physical chemistry, theoretically presented the application of plasma created nanostructures. During plasma treatment we can grow different structures which have different surface energy and enable absorption of molecules. This can be attributed to atom vacancies in nanostructures, which can cause even water splitting.

The paper was published in good scientific journal covering the field of plasma, vacuum and materials. In this paper we demonstrated that when using oxygen plasma, we create nano-strings of polymers or channels as well as get superhydrophilicity. However this phenomenon does not occur on surface with only dot-like polymer structure, when surface is treated with nitrogen plasma. This shows to the fact that superhydrophilicity is driven by micro-capillary phenomenon of functionalized elongated-channel structures.
