This paper published in a leading journal covering the field of applied physics is a result of fruitful collaboration with University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France. Results of systematic research on characterization of nitrogen plasma suitable for modification of microcomposite materials to achieve optimal hydrophilicity are reported. It is the first report worldwide on comparison of two techniques that are optimized for different range of parameters. In the overlapping range we obtained almost excellent agreement. This is an important affirmation of our own tool – the catalytic probe.

The paper published in one of the most prominent journals covering the field of applied physics reveals an original method that allows for modification of iron oxide nanoparticles that has been developed with the aim of optimized sensing properties of neutral plasma radicals used for achieving super-hydrophilicity of microcomposite materials. To the best of our knowledge it is the first report worldwide on sensors with the sensitivity exceeding 90%.
