Traditional laboratory oil analysis is often expensive and time consuming activity, however microprocessor based systems are available nowadays, to automate the analysis of the most fundamental lubricating oil properties. This study covers the design of a mobile standalone unit for continuous monitoring of lubricating oil properties. A user-interface controls the operation of the unit and displays data that are obtained. The operation of the unit was experimentally tested on a laboratory gear test-rig, where contamination of gearbox oil was performed to simulate changes in oil state.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11656731Co-organization of ECOTRIB 2009 conference, biennial European conference on Tribology primarily focused on the economy and industrial landscape of central and southern Europe attended by more than 150 participants. Conference was first organized in 2007 by prof. Vizintin from Centre for Tribology and Technical Diagnostics. In 2009 it was co-organized in Italy by three groups: Slovenian Society for Tribology, led by Centre for Tribology and technical diagnostics, Italian Tribology Association and Austrian Tribology Society.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10983963In the field of fault detection and identification we have developed broadly applicable and cost effective prototype vo on-line condition monitoring of mechanical drives, the so-called Diagnostic and Prognostic Processor (DPP). The main goal of this device is the introduction of diagnostics and early fault localization on mechanical drives of older generation, which operate without any embedded diagnostics system. DPP will enable more efficient and proactive maintenance as well as cheaper maintenance actions.

COBISS.SI-ID: 24646951A prototype of a diagnostic and prognostic platform based on sensory network has been developed. It builds on the smart node which acquires signals from local sensors, performs feature extraction by various signal processing methods and deliver the results to the server via wireless communication. It is possible to configure and reconfigure the smart node remotely.
