The lab prototype for hyperspectral imaging was implemented. The prototype system enables the acquisition of hyperspectral images in the visible and NIR part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The system will be used for many basic and applicative research tasks in the various research fields, especially in the biomedicine and in the pharmaceutical industry.
F.11 Development of a new service
New diffuse lightning for hyperspectral imaging in the visible and NIR part of the electromagnetic spectrum was designed and developed. The lightning is based on halogen lights and special diffusive-reflectance chamber, it is highly adaptable and enables reflectance and transmission measurements of various products, such as pharmaceutical blends, pellets, tablets and capsules.
F.08 Development and manufacture of a prototype
A new procedure for fast everyday calibration and calibration verification of hyperspectral imaging systems was developed. The procedure in based on special caliber with known and dinstinct spectral features and on specially developed software for automatic analysis and wavelength registration of hyperspectral images.
F.11 Development of a new service
A new procedure for reliable and retrospective optical aberration correction, emerging from optical imperfections in hyperspectral maging systems, was developed. The procedure in based on special software routines for fast multimodal registration of hyperspectral images and special caliber with known and distinct geometrical features. The procedure enables retrospective resolution enhancement of hyperspectral images, yielding the images of higher quality.
F.11 Development of a new service
A new near infrared hyperspectral imaging system for rapid real-time acquisition and analysis of hyperspectral images was developed. The system incorporates a special calibration object with unique spectral and spatial features enabling continuous system calibration and self validation essential for reliable operation in industrial environments.
