Coordination and execution of geological part of phase one site-suitability study for the potential second block of the Krško nuclear power plant. Extensive interdisciplinary study consisted of geological, geodetic, morphometric and paleoseismological studies. Methodological approach in the project was nearly identical to the one adopted in the project Seismotectonic model of the Ljubljana Basin and nearly whole project team was involved (only one of the summary reports is quoted).
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 1878613First geokinematic model od Slovenian territory was obtained on a basis of repeated GNSS surveys in Slovenia and surrounding areas. Data of approximately 70 geodynamic GNSS points with repeated surveys were considered for processing. Time interval of observations was between 1994 and 2007. We considered only those geodetic points that were observed at least twice and where time interval between first and last survey was at least three years. Additionally only geologically stable GNSS points were included in processing.
