In this contribution the author exposes some problems inherent in gender research in education – in the interconnected Slovenian and wider contexts – especially in some of the recent research (i.e. global quantitative researches, Eurydice initiated research, etc.). After briefly presenting some basic tenets of feminist epistemology, the author proceeds to problematizing some of the aspects of current gender research. She identifies several problems (stemming from the perspective on the research and experiental/ethnographic materials as well) which often render gender research in its present state insufficient – and that might also mean that it is working against the proclaimed equality in education and equal opportunities.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2291543In the complex of presentations of research results at the conferences in Slovenia and abroad (see also cobiss-id 33377581, 33365549 and 33366829) two topics have been elaborated: new media contents regulation (in Slovenia and on EU level) and research and policy approaches, which serve the proactive attitude to the problems of new media relations in the social group of children and youth. On applicative level the research results have been implemented in the protection of minors related communication among regulatory bodies and industries.
