Apart from the presentation of the suppressed Franciscan monastery in Brežice this exhibition in the Posavski Muzej Brežice was the first public display of group of paintings of Franciscan saints, once holed in this monastery. Painting collection was analysed in the context of artistic tradition and in comparison with other Franciscan series of paintings and depictions, typical for the order, however the emphasis was on the meaning of spiritual and artistic heritage of Franciscans for the development of the European art. The exhibition included a presentation of restoration of these paintings.
