In this monograph, one of the most important Slovenian Baroque monuments was introduced from the art historical point of view to the broader public. With a thorough research based on documents in archives the author has resolved many questions, regarding the autorship of architecture and artworks in the Ursuline church in Ljubljana, and placed the heritage of the Ljubljana convent in the broader context of Central European art.

COBISS.SI-ID: 32500269Lecture given at a scholarly symposium “350 years from the arrival of the Franciscans in Brežice”, Brežice, Posavski muzej, 12–13 June 2009. For the first time, a detailed and overall analysis was presented of the architectural evolution of the Franciscan monastery in Brežice. The new construction in the early 20th century to the plans of the architect H. Hönl of Graz opened the hitherto neglected question about the influence of the politics and the role of the Verein für Heimatschutz in the dissemination of the Styrian Heimat-style in public architectural commissions in southern Styria.
