The exhibition represents the participation of the Jewish soldiers in the Austro-Hungarian Army, the importance of the spiritual care, the fallen Jewish soldiers on the Isonzo front and the graves of the of the Jewish soldiers on the military graveyards od the Isonzo front.

COBISS.SI-ID: 33450029The lacture presents the Great War as it had been lived by an average Slovenian family on the territory marked by Isonzo front and reflects the variety of war experiences of the family members. Women and the oldest part of the family became refugees, the four sons had been soldier of the Austro-Hungarian army and thus on the front. Two of them died on the battlefields. The lecture has been based on the family correspondence and reflects all the problems that a family had to deal with during the War. A special attention of the letters is paid to the problematic of death, which shaped the everyday life of the family; one can also recognize the importance of faith in the consolation and life of Slovene families.

COBISS.SI-ID: 33277741The lecture presents the place of religion in war, based on the experiences of the Slovenian soldiers during the Great War. The lecture reflects on the role of the Slovenian Church in shaping the Slovenian relationship towards war, State and death as well. Special attention has been paid to the military burials and to the position of the Church regarding the burials of the soldiers of non-Catholic creed. They had to be buried in a special place and not together with their catholic comrades. The lecture was based on the diaries and memorial literature of the Slovenian soldiers.
