Environmental crime (EC) has become attractive to organized crime groups due to the possibility of high incomes, the lack of environmental legislation and the demand in the market. The presented is the first example of selection and classification in Slovenia detected forms of organized EC. It also presents a useful basis for further research, and reactive and proactive responses for the criminal justice system. Comments and suggestions are intended primarily for those involved in the Slovene criminal justice system and those who watch over its operation and functioning of the rule of law.
