In the field of this project, three PhD students worked on their theses. Young researcher Zoran Trošt defended his PhD thesis in 2009. In his work, modern experimental approaches were used and the results were published in an highly ranked international journals. During his postgraduate study, he developed the ability to identify and solve various scientific problems and became a good expert, who will contribute to the development and progress, especially in the field of health sciences. Two other PhD students are currently in the process of PhD theses aprooval at University of Ljubljana.
D.09 Tutoring for postgraduate students
COBISS.SI-ID: 2693233On this national meeting, our results were presented in 3 invited lectures. The audience at the meeting consisted of leading medical doctors from clinical pratice, who will in the future benefit from new diagnostic approaches for the evaluation of genetic background of osteoporosis. All three lectures were important from the view of dissemination of our results into clinical practice and offer a possibility to translate our scientific results into clinical practice to ensure a more efficient diagnostics of the genetic factors of osteoporosis.
