The paper presents the probabilistic safety assessment of 4 modes of operation of the nuclear power plant. The modeling features are presented and the differences between the models are highlighted with the emphasis on comparison between hot standby and normal power operation. The results of probabilistic safety assessment for other modes than plant normal power operation show certain differences in risk measures for each considered mode.

COBISS.SI-ID: 22036007The analysis estimates time windows available to perform operator action to satisfy the success criteria to prevent core damage. The results show that the time available to perform operator action is greater than the actual time needed to perform the action. The results of human reliability analysis show that uncertainty analysis of realistic deterministic safety analysis is needed only for significant risk contributors. The work was performed partly in collaboration with Nuclear Regulatory Commission from USA.
