In this research work, the comparison between two documents about this ecclesiastical library is conducted. The older one is an manuscript, the other an auction catalog from 1788. They cover approximately the period of Herberstein's office. On behalf of both documents it was possible to establish which books were bought by Herberstein himself, and the importance of his purchases for Slovenian cultural history. The research showed that he had a considerable more Slovene books as was considered previously, and that he also in Ljubljana collected important books from around Europe.

The research work is dealing with the role and importance of porcelain as prestigious material. Porcelain was until the beginning of the 18th century imported form Far East. After the formula of European porcelain was discovered, Viennese and South German porcelain factories supplied also Slovene lands. Archival sources report a substantial number of porcelain vessels and other objects in inventories of nobility and bourgeois. The same corroborate also the preserved museum objects.

The research work is featuring three seals of Ulrich and Friedrich of Cilli. It is dealing with their iconography. The main goal is establishing the history of sealing in Seuneg and Cilli families. The differences in seals trough time and their role in the family history are emphasized.

The researcher is investigating the role of medieval traveling merchants and peddlers in her research work. The most important medieval trade route was leading in south – north direction. It was suitable for larger cargoes. For smaller items traveling merchants took charge. They were selling oranges, scissors, eye-glasses, cloth, toiletries and much more. Those objects are because of their rarity of special importance.

Joseph Desselbrunner was the owner of very important clothmaking plant in Selo near Ljubljana. He bought it with his companion, Valentin Ruard in 1762. In 1796, they employed 1600 workers. They produced various kinds of cloth, especially of fine wool. In archival sources there is a detailed list of factory buildings, machines and other various implements. Desselbruner was important also as sponsor of the Theater of Estates in Ljubljana and had significant influence on the cultural life.
