The monograph is the result of the bilateral project conducted by the the members of the research program group and researchers of the Institute of the economic and social history at the Karl’s University in Prague. The comparative analysis of the selected phenomena and the processes of the economic, social, political and cultural modernization of the Slovene and Czech society is given.

The presentation was based on the emphasis of the correlation between the inflation waves and the economic reform attempts in the communist Yugoslavia.

The presentation was based on the confrontation of the theoretical concepts of sociology and economics and empirical evidences from the Slovenia in the previous century. The emphasis was given on different economic contexts of the emigration flows and related changes in local economies and the long term transition from emigration to immigration country.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2843252In the context of the general social, political and economic transition the banking transition period n Slovenia was analyzed in the presentation. In the center of the analyze was the rehabilitation of the existing banking sector, its reorganization into new form and the establishment of the internationally compatible and competitive banking sector. In the end of presentation the adjustment to the regulatory framework of the EU is also included.
