In the spring of 2010 there was an exhibition in the National Gallery of Slovenia on the city fountain by Francesco Robba (of 1751), one of the best known city simbols of Ljubljana. A monograph, published on this occasion, presents the story of the fountain from the beginnings in the 18th century up to the end of 20th century, when it was moved to the gallery. It includes careful study of its erection in 1751 as well as later perception of the monument, including his use as a city or national symbol.

Mazzafuogo give a good starting point for analysis of the monument, identification of the preserved original parts of the building and its position in the wider context of the Venetian Renaissance architecture.
