We know Ivan Potrč mainly as a writer of peasant-village literature. However, both in the prewar and post-war period he included in his work also the urban space. Based on Lotman's semiotics the present paper introduces Potrč's verbalization of the rural and urban worlds.

We want to know, if the language used in the film is such that it creates an illusion for the audience as if the worlfeatured in the film is not really a film, but real one, if the spoken discourse is in accordance with reality as we know from experience and from the results of scientific study in Prekmurje region.
