This collection is the first comprehensive overview of life and work of Ivan Hribar. Great novelty represent studies on Hribar's work in the fields of economy, contacts with Croats, world-view, literary opus and linguistic views. It was the basis for the screenplay of the documentary film essay on Ivan Hribar.

The grammar school in Celje, established as a latin school, later became linguistically German, but received an entirely Slovenian character in 1918.

It questioned the thesis that the revolt was associated with the endeavours of the Austrian state in order to incur unrest in the areas occupied by the French army. It was probably the case of a spontaneous revolt provoked by the wartime social conditions.
