KROPEJ. Monika is Co-Edtor-in-Chief of the journal Studia mythologica Slavica, first published in 1998, when she fiunded it together with Prof. Nikolai Mikhailov from the University of Pisa (later Udine). Studia mythological Slavica is the central scientific journal on Slavic mythology and mythopetic tradition. It aims to throw light on and to reconstruct Slavic mythology from different aspects, and to present the mythopoetic and religious heritage of Slavic nations. It also publishes studies on semiotics and comparative and cognitive mythology, history of literature and belief tradition of Slavic other nations. The journal is designed as an interdisciplinary publication and is thus of interest for ethnologists, phylologists, historians, archaeologists, literary historians, and philosophers. One of the main purposes of Studia mythologica Slavica is to advance studies of mythological tradition of Slavic nations and the analysis of the new sources of Slavic mythology.

The aim of the scientific conference with 27 participants from Slovenia and abroad was to shed light on contemporary research dilemmas and issues concerning tradition and cultural heritage and to rethink disciplinary fields, directions and new research agendas. The selection of articles was published in the journal Traditiones (41/2, 2012).
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 33294893Conference, which was the basis for collection of scientific papers, brought together 22 participants from Slovenia and abroad, who discussed the methods and current topics in phraseology and paremiology. Several referees presented new approaches to digitalization of proverbs, which is necesarry for further analysis of such material. COBISS.SI-ID: 77153537Collection Glasovi [Voices] so far contains 45 monographies with literary folklore from different Slovenian areas. The collection is an example of unique preservation of the Slovenian intangible cultural heritage.
