The 2. Slovenski dialektološki posvet (2nd Slovenian Conference on Dialectology) was organised by the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language and took place on the 29th and 30th of November 2012 in Ljubljana. 18 active dialectologists as well as other dialectologists and linguists working in related fields coming from all linguistic centres in Slovenia, neighbouring countries, as well as in the USA and the Czech Republic participated at the conference. The conference was dedicated to the release of the first volume of the Slovenski lingvistični atlas (Slovenian Linguistic Atlas) and shows the state of Slovenian dialectology and indicates its future.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 34899501The proceedings contain 25 papers from the international scientific symposium under the same title which took place in Ljubljana from the 16th to the 18th of September 2010 and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the academician France Bezlaj. From the point of view of contents and methodology, the papers are relevant to reinforcement of the process of rendering etymology as a scientific discipline more objective, and within this process, to the development of diachronic semantics, which is also crucial to genetic identification of language material.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 263181312Two members of the programme group (Kozma Ahačič, PhD, and Marko Snoj, PhD) actively participated in drafting the proposal for the Nacionalni program za jezikovno politiko 2012–2016 (National Programme of Language Policy 2012–2016) in the Strokovna komisija za slovenski jezik MIZKŠ (Expert Commission for the Slovenian Language of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport). On the basis of comments submitted during the public debate, they made the majority of corrections to the original draft proposal on the level of contents and form which then reached the phase of inter-ministerial coordination.

D.10 Educational activities
COBISS.SI-ID: 264055808The following work analyzes from the standpoint of word formation theory the vocabulary, specifically vocabulary of the narrower semantic field of cultured plants, gathered from 85 local speeches from the whole Slovene-speaking area, while in the second part of dissertation the vocabulary is interpreted using geolinguistic method. The novelty of this dissertation can be discerned firstly from an extensive corpus of newly collected, transcribed and indexed dialect words from the areas of all seven dialect groups. Secondly with morpheme segmentation of the material collected a progress has been made toward ascertaining the nomenclature structure of the semantic field of cultured plants, with one word lexemes an inventory of affix morphemes and their distinctive characteristics (in a structural as well as the geographical sense) has been done, and at the same time this type of analysis suggests conscious processing of the morpheme structure of word, created by word formation, when it comes to paying attention to all its possible morpheme segmentations. The third novelty of this dissertation is the showing of the model of geolinguistic processing of pure word formation data, which has been so far mostly discussed within lexical and word formation researches.
