Since 2001, the Institute has been organising annually a scientific legal conference "The Civil Law Days", which has evolved into the the central meeting of Slovenian lawyers working in the field of private law in academic circles, in judiciary and in business. Each conference is focused on a set of selected topical issues of civil and commercial law, defined narrowly so as to enable indepth discussion combining legal theory and practice. Memers of the programme group have participated as lecturers at the conferences, discussing, inter alia, various legal problems of information society, such as consumer Protection in contracting over the Internet, copyright in the digital environment, competition relationships between providers of information society services, the liability of Internet intermediaries.

B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
Since 2003, the Institute for Comparative Law has been organising, in cooperation with the Government Office for Legislation and the Faculty of Law, Unversity of Ljubljana, the annual conference "Nomotechnical Days", held each May at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. The main purpose of the conference is to discuss the topical issues of nomotechnics i. e. the art and principles of the formation of laws and other legal regulations from the methodological, structural, constitutional and linguistic aspects, and to establish a wide professional consensus on the development of clear principles of Slovenian nomotechnics.

The tasks of the working group are: • informing interested Professionals in public administration about the opportunities of open source, EU initiatives, guidelines and development, •accelerating the flow of information, knowledge and experience of open source between public authorities, • encouraging and accelerating the design of new and expansion of existing projects and plans for the use of open source in public administration, • promotion of open source software in public administration, • preparation of analyses, studies and guidelines for deploying open source in public administration, • ensuring integration of public administration in the field of open source with the business, education, the university and the open source community, • preparation of amendments to the legislation which will facilitate public procurement of open source solutions - in particular the field of copyright, licensing, public ownership and use of the EUPL license within the public administration, • ensuring the implementation of effective equality of open source software versus proprietary software, • increasing the interoperability of software within the public administration, • ensuring the consistent use of open standards in procurement, development and deployment of software within the public administration.

Editors of the most extensive commentary of the Slovenian Civil Procedure Act including all amendments to it and the case law. A fundamental important scientific achievement in the field of Slovenian civil procedure law.
