The fundamental scientific work in the field of legal theory in Slovenia, providing a comprehensive and insightful account of the central issues of understanding and the application of law, and thereby also legal terminology. The work is of crucial importance for study of law in Slovenia and is also an important source for courts, other state authorities and professional lawyers. As such, it is very influential for the development and strengthening of Slovenian legal terminology. We would like to point out that the author, prof. dr. Marijan Pavčnik dedicates a lot of attention to language and legal terminology. It is no coincidence that the terminological issues found its important place also in the revised edition.

C.04 Editorial board of an international magazine
The dissertation presents the reaction of the Slovene linguistic system to the adoption of the EU legal order, which became binding on Slovenia with its accession to the EU. For this purpose, the terminology used in judgments concerning the Community trade mark was analysed. The terminology used in this judgments is usually formed through translations. Among giver-languages for Slovene, French and English have to be especially highlighted. English is present in the EU in its role as a global language, and French is established as the working language of the European Court of Justice.

B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 11914577The lecture deals with legislative framework for establishing and implementing the cooperation between national parliaments and the institutions of European Union. It focuses on materially-constitutional regulation of the parliament's participation in adopting EU legislation, the role of scrutiny of national parliaments, democratic legitimacy of European and national governance etc. The lecture includes also an issue of new, deepen role of the national parliaments under the Lisbon Treaty and the Protocols. With the establishment of new procedures and ways of cooperation between the EU and its member states a need to form a new adequate legal terminology emerged.
