The youth labour market in Slovenia has experienced the same fate as the whole Slovenian labour market regarding the impact of social and economic trends, adopted policies in the labour market and broader, employment and unemployment trends. On the other hand, there are some important peculiarities related to it, which influence the status of youth in the labour market and society as a whole. Among them, the flexibility of youth in employment has a special role – it influences the frequency of transitions between employment and unemployment.

The conference’s program was characterised by 160 presenters, 130 presentations in parallel sections and 6 plenary presentations. Key topics addressed at the event were: a) Transition From Higher Education to Labour Market & Early Career, b) Higher Education and the Supply of Competences, c) Development of Competencies at Work, e) Qualification Systems & Methodology and d) Permeability between VET and HE.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 1301116The project addresses the needs of the main groups of higher education (HE) stakeholders. Based on project reports, higher education institutions have been provided with empirically based evidence for planning their curricula, strategies and general orientations. The findings of the Hegesco project are based on a large scale survey with a gross sample size of more than 30,000 graduates, and qualitative interviews among employers and HE institutions from five partner countries. The empirical work has been conducted in Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Slovenian and Turkey.

F.01 Acquisition of new practical knowledge, information and skills
COBISS.SI-ID: 29066845The project integrates and explores graduate employability surveys. It develops an innovative approach to the establishment of higher education management systems in particular professional domains. During the project’s lifespan, DEHEMS will launch an electronic newspaper for the European higher education community and conduct two large international conferences. In the project University of Ljubljana coordinates the work of Vienna University, University of Kassel, University of Bologna, Hacettepe University (Turkey), University of Warsaw and University of Bremen.
