COBISS.SI-ID: 29470813In the article, ”translatability” of spatio-sociological concepts, is discussed. We find that the traditional professional profiles of spatial and urban planners (especially architects) in Slovenia is still dominant and self-sufficient so that sociological content are treated as marginal or merely advisory. The claim that the sociological discourse is too abstract to be useful in practice, is partly justified. In this paper we propose some communication techniques that would facilitate dialogue between the spatial planning (urbanistic) professions.
