On the market is a huge number of manufacturers who produce high tech technology and who advertise high technical data specifications of their products. For the research on children comuting habits we wanted to use TrackstickTM super GPS, which promised high frequency and high accuracy in subject position determination. Technology which was promising a lot (according to manufacturers technical data) was found as completely non adequate technology, which is not good for research use. The most important conclusion is that manufacturers tehnical data should be always tested from the point of validity and reliability and not just belive manufacturers what they promise.

This study examined the reliability of a new clinical protocol for isokinetic muscle strength measurements of dynamic stabilizers of the shoulder joint - external and internal rotators. The study has shown that it is possible to measure the strength of these muscle groups in significantly narrower range of motion than would be use. The importance of such protocol is particularly useful for patients with impaired mobility of the shoulder joint, as it allows us to objectively assess the strength of these muscle groups, since it is important clinical outcome measure.

In this study, we analyzed the differences in jumping ability of volleyball players according to the specific playing position. We found that when analyzing jumping ability of volleyball players, we must take into account their anthropometric characteristics, as differences among different playing positions arise from different body weight of the individuals. In addition, we have shown that the volleyball specific tests of vertical jump - attack jump and block jump – have shown better reproducibility parameters than conventional tests of vertical jump – squat jump and countermovement jump.

This study aimed to verify the usability of complex muscles mechanical models of the Anybody system on relatively non-complicated “two-dimensional” movements of different double polling cross country skiing techniques. We were able to compare mechanical efficiency with performance using appropriate mechanical modelling.

The study was conducted on a sample of elite Slovenian ski jumpers who participated in an experiment on the jumping hill in Hinterzarten (HS95m). The highest and most significant correlations (p=0.01) with the length of the ski jump were found in the multi-item variable height of flying which was also expressed with highest level of stability of the explained total variance (TV) on the first factor (TV=69.13%).
