Time motion analysis in basketball has frequently been used to evaluate the activity profiles for different playing positions. The study amends the handball velocity classes to account for the smaller court dimensions of basketball. Movement intensity of guards, wings and centres were classified into 5 different velocity classes based on the handball classes adjusted proportionately for court length. The amended handball velocity classes resulted in players’ movements being categorised in the faster velocity classes more often with more frequent changes of velocity class evident.

COBISS.SI-ID: 254057984On a sample of 29 best Slovenian ski jumpers, a research project was carried out with main purpose to determine the structure of chosen dynamic and kinematic variables of the take off phase technique in skijumping. The present factor structure confirms the hypothetical model of three independent motor tasks to be optimally realized in the take off of the ski jumper. Criteria variables of the length of jump were determined mainly between the first two factors.
