COBISS.SI-ID: 18557171The author presented certain state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures in contemporary sports training to an international professional community. The novelty was the use of new technologies in the laboratory and situational measurements of an athlete’s performance. Diagnostics of horizontal and drop jumps, kinematic analysis using high-frequency cameras, electromyography and thermovision were presented. The last two methods are underpinned by pioneering studies of the muscular system’s functioning in specific sports situations.

COBISS.SI-ID: 35977453D measurements are an important contribution in analyzing alpine skiing. Therefore several methods are used. Unfortunately they all have several disadvantages such as: huge amount of human work for preparation of measurements and extracting data and relatively short measurement area. In order to obey them, we propose a new measuring procedure based on a L1/L2 GPS/GLONASS Leica GNSS system and Xsens Moven Mocap inertial suit. The inertial suit records a whole body 3D movement.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3623345Title of 5 hours lectures was "Aspects of Sport, Media, Gender and National Identity". The theoretical point of view of the lectures was considering the differences between men and women in sport, primarily as the result of cultural differences in society. These differences are maintained also in media presentation of women's sport. In this comparison each country demonstrates its own characters. The impact of sport and sex in the creation of a national identity was shown in the case of Slovenia and on the results of studies that have been made in the last period in Slovenia.
