As part of activities for teaching European content in elementary schools conducted by members of the program team, we created a didactic board game, entitled 'I feel Europe: EU knowledge —EU challenge'. The didactic board game takes the player through the history of European integration. Along the way, players are faced with challenges and knowledge questions about the EU and its member states, and they learn about important events in the history of European integration. The journey begins in 1950, when the idea of European integration was presented, and it ends in 2014, the tenth anniversary of Slovenian membership in the EU. The board game is suitable for use in the learning environment or in the context of informal activities carried out by the school. It represents a practical teaching tool for teachers and thus fills a gap in the field of manuals and textbooks related to the EU.

COBISS.SI-ID: 33061981Elections for the European Parliament in May 2014 were noted in the media. Interest in the course of the election campaign for the European Parliament and for elections themselves was expressed by The Washington Post. Alenka Krašovec and Timothy Haughtonom's article raises the question of 'second order' of European elections in relation to national elections and pointed out that the election campaign for the European parliament in Slovenia were also a dress rehearsal for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. The authors of the article reveal national political developments in Slovenia, which placed the European elections on the back burner. The publication in The Washington Post as well as in the Slovenian media (Mladina, COBISS.ID 32709981) points out the applicability of political science research, specifically research of elections and electoral behaviour in Centre for Political Science Research. These topics have proved to be interesting to a wider circle of readers. Publication of political science content in layman’s terms strengthens civic knowledge and interest of the citizens. Publication in The Washington Post draws attention to the visibility of Slovenian political science and political scientists in the international environment.
