In the White Paper, which was under the auspices of the Ministry of Education written by a group of experts, three programme group members participated (Kodelja, Šimenc and Mojca Straus). To illustrate this, we give here the record, which refers to the contribution of Z. Kodelja, which found that equality of opportunity by someone in the society depends heavily on his educational opportunities. Therefore, the country, whose goal is to have more just society, through various measures must first ensure equal educational opportunities for everyone. In addition, equity in education requires, whenever there are important reasons for differences, just, fair and proportionate treatment of students in the evaluation, reward, punishment, etc.
F.23 Development of new system-wide, normative and programme solutions, and methods
COBISS.SI-ID: 8860489The article discusses the reasons for forming and developing networking at pre-school level as an innovative approach to professional development of professional pre-school staff. With the help of an in-depth qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the Step by Step network, which has been active for almost a decade now, the author defines the influence of networking on the professional development of preschool teachers and their assistants, network coordinators and executive staff. The author warns about the necessity of continuous adjustment of networking to newly created needs, which is based on the realization that a network is a live organism that grows, develops and reaches different levels of understanding and functioning during that process. During the qualitative analysis, special attention is given to the problems that emerge in practice during the implementation of initiatives within the network and to good practices, which can help us avoid the mentioned problems. Special attention is also placed on the analysis of the work segments of pre-school teachers or assistants, in which they gained the most from taking part in networking. Based on the gathered data and experiences, the positive and negative aspects of being included into networking for the purpose of professional development are differentially presented and the direction of future development is revealed.
