COBISS.SI-ID: 2365379This paper presents a summary of the research in EU project MAX which concerns the better integration of mobility management (MM (TDM in the US)) with land use planning (LUP). The first part concerns the current level of the integration of MM and LUP in the EU member and other states covered in the 10 European countries (Sweden, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland and the UK, as well as Ireland and the Netherlands). The second part presents the results of planning simulation workshops in five of these countries, where a group of planning professionals from each country considered real development sites local to them and how MM could be integrated with these. It concludes that there is a relatively low level of integration in most analysed countries, advances reasons for this and identifies the potential for a pragmatic approach to increasing integration in several states.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2353603The report falls within the scope of the project ClimAlpTour (ClimAlpTour - Climate Change and its Impact on Tourism in the Alpine Space). Initially, the state of climate and climate trends in the Alps, which constitute one of the bases for considerations about the future long-term tourism development of the municipality of Kranjska Gora and the wider Alpine area of Slovenia, is presented. Further, the results of the analysis and evaluation of the adaptation to climate change in tourism development documents on national, regional and local level are described. They are followed by the presentation of climate change scenarios for the Gorenjska region, which have been prepared under the project CLISP (Climate Change – Adaptation by Spatial Planning in the Alpine Space). Further, a vulnerability to climate change of the municipality Kranjska Gora on tourism development is exposed. In the concluding part an adaptation strategy to climate change for tourism in the municipality of Kranjska Gora is proposed.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2409667Dictionary of urban planning terminology which was prepared by Urban Planning Institute with technical support of the Institute for Slovene Language Fran Ramovš of the Research Centre of the Academy of Sciences and Art (ZRC SAZU ) during 2011 and 2013 includes more than 2000 entries from different research fields and practical planning activities , in relation to urban space: architecture, geography, landscape architecture, economy, ecology, anthropology , politics, sociology, informatics, transport, housing, commerce etc. It fills up the gap in the professional terminology and contributes to solve terminological confusion in the field of legislation, planning and professional literature. It aims to eliminate differences in understanding of terms within different research fields, used in urban planning. The concept of the dictionary is descriptive, which means that each term has its own explanation. Each entry is composed of term, definition and English translation. It is prepared with a special computer program SlovarRed2.1, which was created in the department for terminological dictionaries of the Institute for Slovene Language Fran Ramovš within ZRC SAZU.
