Treatises and Documents, Journal of Ethnic Studies publishes a wide range of scholarly articles on ethnic and minority issues, with special emphasis on topics relevant for the so-called Alpine-Adriatic-Pannonian geographical area. In 2010 the Journal was listed in many international bibliographic databases, such as, IPSA, FRANCIS, IBZ and IBSS. The development of the Journal is supported by world-class scientists in the field of ethnic and minority studies.

The book gives an overview of demographic and socio-economic structure of the immigrant population in Slovenia and provides an analysis of the Slovenian integration policy, as reflected in policy documents and legislation.

COBISS.SI-ID: 254121216The situation of Slovene minority in Austrian Carinthia is determined by “non-policy” with regard to minorities that is based on the agreement of key political parties in Carinthian parliament and influenced by organizations that are not favorable to minorities. Minority political participation is not satisfactory, while the authorities dictate a kind of artificial dialogue that leads to “half-way” solutions. External interferences also prove negative. Author concludes that a national minority has to determine its political organization and life itself, considering its internal plurality.
