The author analyses a public discourse concerning a cosmic sausage. Inspiration comes from Sunita Williams, American astronaut of Slovene-Indian origin, whose cosmic luggage included (Carniolan) sausages. This cosmic story about cosmic sausages was published in numerous Slovenian media, in every possible form. Here, a new approach to the analysis of the story (from the field of cultural anthropology) is used. After all, “cosmic migrations” are slowly becoming a reality.
