COBISS.SI-ID: 16087048With the developed educational program for training mentors of supervised practice of psychologists we started to build a network of mentors who will supervise a year of practical training after the completion of academic training in psychology. Educational program trains psychologists with appropriate competencies and experience to properly mentor graduates, so that the results of the one-year training are optimal. The program increases the quality of psychological services. Supervised practice, which follows the European guidelines, is a new systemic solution for training of psychologists.

COBISS.SI-ID: 252107520The author was invited to present her rich research work in the field of adolescents’ and emerging adults’ individuation in relation to parents at the University of Vienna. She presented contemporary concepts and models of individuation in these developmental periods, complex research methods in investigating the field, and recent empirical findings based on international research, including those obtained in the framework of the research programme in Slovenia.
B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 42755682The symposium focused on a methodological perspective and data from Austria, Slovenia, and the USA. The presentations included tests of validity of several common measures used with emerging adults across countries. Those measures capture criteria of the transition to adulthood, individuation in relation to parents, intimate relationships and emotional responsiveness. The symposium provided an insight into important methodological issues regarding emerging adulthood. Consequences for future studies were addressed in the discussion and international research collaboration was strenghened.

COBISS.SI-ID: 43120994The journal consists of nine papers addressing cognitive, language, personality and psychosocial development, behavior, and relationships of individuals of different ages, from birth through emerging adulthood. Three papers also consider non-normative groups of children, i.e. pre-term toddlers, deaf children and children with cognitive disabilities. Marjanovič Umek is the co-author of two papers and whe wrote the editorial to this special issue with Zupančič. The first part of the editorial is dedicated to prof. dr. Toličič.
