A web-based decision-support information system was developed to support purchasing logistics with a goal of optimizing inventory control and reducing costs. A user interface was implemented on an Apache web server with web programming languages PHP and Java Script. The system is supported by MS SQL Server 2008 database. An inventory control computational core was implemented with the C# programming language and is based on the simulation model and inventory control algorithms.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6626323It is assumed that e-region development is important for the provision of competitive advantages in cross-border e-region connectivity. It is assumed that national borders have a major impact on cross-border transactions executions. E-collaboration of companies, government organizations and universities and other research institutions in the accelerated creation, development and implementation of solutions and services based on ICT in a country, or in a region of the countries, can be considered a large, broadly understood living laboratory.

COBISS.SI-ID: 6511379In the case of internal clinics (Rheumatology, Hypertension and Centre for War Veterans), a detailed analysis of processes was carried out with simulation models. The results of the analysis enabled determination of an appropriate set of key parameters' values, which can provide more effective implementation of administrative processes.
